Embracing the Power of Low Resolution
The architectural structure of the building with its evenly distributed windows was the ideal basis to turn windows into pixels and with this the whole complex into a colossal display. Contrasting the technological trend of high definition 4 K images LOWRES was restricted to a "display resolution" of only 154 pixels.
This however was sufficient to turn the urban public space into a playground for creative minds and numerous spectators. Apart from enjoying audio-visual performances standing in the tradition of Bauhaus' lighting console symphonies the spectators were able become actors themselves. Activating motion sensors by their movement they controlled sound and light effects.
